Sweet Potato Recipe

Sweet potatoes are a great choice for your health – they are packed with vitamins and minerals and will keep you feeling full for a long time. When roasted, sweet potatoes take on an even more saccarine flavor, no added sugar necessary! This easy recipe has a little spice from the cayenne and cinnamon – which also have great health benefits.

Spiced Sweet Potatoes Recipe

Yields: 2 Servings

  • 1 medium sweet potato, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 450°F. In a medium bowl combine canola oil, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. Add the sweet potatoes and toss to coat. Spread the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet. Bake until tender golden brown on all sides, 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
