As we get closer to 2015, many parts of the country will see below-average temperatures. But there’s a food-related bright side here: Cold weather offers a good opportunity for safely removing items from your refrigerator, so you can clean that darn thing out!
If you pick a below-freezing day to clean out your freezer, you can just stick all the frozen goods on your patio or in the backyard while you clean.
To be extra cautious, just use a cooler and put it outside. It could buy you a little more time to thoroughly gut that fridge.
Because you can’t truly have a clean, new start to 2015 if you haven’t seen the back of your freezer box since 2004.
