Is anyone else patiently waiting for fall to officially arrive? While we’re sad to see summer’s sunny days go, we also can’t hide our excitement for autumn-inspired dishes, and yes, that means cocktails, too.
Plated Recipe Editor (and go-to mixologist) Sara Heegaard graced us with her Blackberry-Pomegranate Bramble recipe that gives one last hurrah to summer and a very happy hello to fall. Cheers!
small handful of blackberries
1½ ounces gin
1 ounce pomegranate juice
½ ounce crème de mûre
½ ounce simple syrup
1 sprig fresh rosemary
Crushed ice for serving
1. Rinse blackberries and pat dry with paper towel.
2. Halve lemon; thinly slice 1 half for garnish.
3. Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, combine gin, pomegranate juice, crème de mûre, simple syrup, and juice of ½ lemon; shake vigorously until chilled.
4. Strain over prepared glass and garnish with 2 blackberries, 1 lemon slice, and rosemary sprig.
