Peaches = summer. Grilling = summer. Put them together, and you’ve got one of our favorite seasonal desserts. In this fabulously fruity treat, smoky grilled peaches are dusted with brown sugar and nutmeg and served with a decadent combination of Greek yogurt and honey whipped cream. Candied pecans sprinkled on top make for a perfectly crunchy garnish.

Cooking Steps

    Prepare Ingredients

    Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Place a large bowl and whisk in the refrigerator. Rinse peaches and slice off rounded sides, discarding pits. In a small bowl, stir together nutmeg and half of brown sugar, and set aside.

  2. Candy Pecans

    Candy Pecans

    Heat butter in a small nonstick pan over medium heat. When butter is foamy, add pecans and remaining brown sugar. Cook, stirring frequently to prevent burning, until sugar is fully melted and nuts are coated and sticky, about 5 minutes. Transfer candied pecans to a plate, spread in an even layer, and sprinkle over ¼ teaspoon salt. Set aside.

  3. Whip Greek Yogurt Cream

    Whip Greek Yogurt Cream

    Remove bowl and whisk from refrigerator and whip heavy cream, Greek yogurt, and honey until thickened and soft peaks form. Place in refrigerator to chill until ready to serve.

  4. Grill Peaches

    Grill Peaches

    When grill is just smoking, arrange peaches cut-side down. Cover (with grill lid or foil) and cook until charred and slightly softened, 3-4 minutes. Transfer peaches to a plate, cut-side up. Sprinkle over nutmeg–brown sugar mixture and cover loosely with foil to trap steam and melt sugar, about 3 minutes.
