Spice up your beer!

What could be better than enjoying an ice-cold cocktail after a long day at work? A cocktail that practically makes itself in less than 5 minutes.

If you’re thirsty for something refreshing, but still with a little spice, you’ll love this chili-lime spiked beer. Think of it as a michelada without the extra work.

Step 1: Create a simple chili salt that will give your favorite light beer a delicious kick!

You will need:

  • ¼ cup kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • lime
  • Beer of choice
  • beer glass, chilled

Combine the salt, ancho chili powder and paprika and shake in a zip-locked bag or container that’s been sealed tight.

Pour your beer — we recommend using a light, Mexican beer such as Tecate or Dos Equis or one that pairs well with whatever is on the menu — and squeeze in some lime. Sprinkle in the spice mixture to taste.
