How to Make a Cookie You Won’t Mind Sharing

Instead of creating drop cookies on a baking sheet, we use a skillet to create ideal group friendly oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.

While it may be advisable not to eat an entire batch of cookies, that doesn’t mean we’re not tempted to sometimes. To prevent ourselves from going overboard, we’ve created a recipe for the perfect shareable oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Instead of creating drop cookies on a baking sheet, we use a skillet to create ideal group friendly chocolatey, gooey, wonderful dessert. INGREDIENTS
1 stick butter + 1 tablespoon for greasing
.75 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup oats
1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon butter. Allow remaining butter to soften at room temperature.

2. Beat the softened butter with the sugar until pale and fluffy.
3. Add egg and vanilla to bowl with butter and beat until fully combined.
4. Sift together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Combine sifted mixture with oats.
5. Working in batches, stir flour/oat mixture.
6. Fold in chocolate chips and spread cookie dough into greased skillet. Add a few additional chocolate chips to the top as desired.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until browned on the edges and slightly gooey in the center.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool, about 5–7 minutes. Top with your favorite ice cream, caramel, or chocolate sauce.
