While it may be advisable not to eat an entire batch of cookies, that doesn’t mean we’re not tempted to sometimes. To prevent ourselves from going overboard, we’ve created a recipe for the perfect shareable oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Instead of creating drop cookies on a baking sheet, we use a skillet to create ideal group friendly chocolatey, gooey, wonderful dessert. 1 stick butter + 1 tablespoon for greasing
.75 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon butter. Allow remaining butter to soften at room temperature.
3. Add egg and vanilla to bowl with butter and beat until fully combined.
5. Working in batches, stir flour/oat mixture.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until browned on the edges and slightly gooey in the center.
