The No-Fail, Easiest Way to Perfectly Poach an Egg

Whether you’re at brunch, hoping to make a healthy salad, or looking to add some pizzazz  your ramen, poached eggs are a great go-to option. However, they can be a little intimidating to make at home, which is why we’re sharing our easy way to make sure that your poached eggs come out perfectly every time.

1. Fill medium saucepan with water, at least halfway full. Bring to boil and add splash white vinegar. ​While waiting for the water to boil, crack ​one​ large egg into ​small glass bowl or ramekin​. Us​ing a wooden spoon or ​spatula​, create a whirlpool by quickly swirling the water in one direction​.

2. ​Very carefully drop the egg into the center of the whirlpool.​ Immediately cover and ​​turn off heat​. ​​Let sit for five minutes.

3. Remove the egg with a slotted spoon and serve immediately​, preferably on top of avocado toast.​
