These Pizza Bagels for Grown-Ups Will Make You Feel Nostalgic For Childhood

Some things never change because they never should. Pizza bagels have gotten no less delicious since your mom would put out a plate of them when you were a kid. The only thing that’s changed is the size of your appetite. Here’s an ode to—and upgrade for—your favorite childhood snack: pizza bagels made with real, full-sized bagels and fresh ingredients.

Depending on how many you want to make, and how loaded with toppings you want to make them, the serving size and portions will vary. The one consistent thing? How great these Veggie Pizza Bagels for Grown-Ups will taste.

Ingredients:
tomato sauce
mushrooms, sliced
zucchini, sliced
cherry tomatoes, halved
basil leaves
mozzarella cheese, sliced
olive oil
kosher salt

1. Place halved bagels on a baking tray and add tomato sauce.

2. Add your toppings.

We went with this order: mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, and basil.

3. Sprinkle olive oil and salt.

4. Layer a slice of cheese on each bagel.

5. Cook in oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

6. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
