Oatmeal Raisin Bars

These easy-to-make Oatmeal Raisin Bars are always a hit at holiday gatherings, and the recipe doubles well so you can easily make extra to keep on hand for snacking. Add-ins like walnuts or chocolate chips taste great, or try substituting dried cranberries for raisins and adding pecans for a tasty twist on the recipe.

Oatmeal-Raisin Bars


  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Stir in:
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Pat into a well-buttered 8×8 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is set. Let cool, then cut into squares.
