When it comes to desserts, these delicious little lemony squares are always a hit. Most likely, you already have all the ingredients waiting in your pantry, ready to be made into this delicious dessert! We recommend using freshly juiced lemons, but if you’re in a pinch regular lemon juice works as well.
RECIPE: Healthy Avocado-Lime Pie
Lemon Bars Recipe
1 cup butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 lemons, juiced
1 ½ cups white sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
Powdered sugar for garnish
Preheat oven to 350° F. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients for crust. Once a dry dough is formed, press into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden.
Whisk together eggs and lemon juice. Slowly whisk in sugar and flour. Pour over the warm crust.
Bake for an additional 20 minutes, then remove from oven and cool in pan. As they cool, they will firm up. Slice into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
