Sláinte to St. Patrick’s Day with this O’ffogato

Traditionally served as an elegant after-dinner dessert, the classic Affogato features vanilla ice cream, hot espresso and occasionally a splash of coffee liqueur. Literally translating to “drowned” in Italian, the Affogato is a classy way to cheers to good health without any green beer.

We’ve added a little luck of the Irish to this version and swapped in stout beer for liqueur just in time for St. Patrick’s Day—Guinness is a great option. Consider this recipe the equivalent of finding a four-leaf clover. Sláinte!

What you’ll need
3-4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
4 ounces of stout beer
1 ounce espresso

Steps
Add 3-4 scoops of vanilla ice cream to your glass.
