You know that dressing you get on the house salad at your favorite Japanese restaurant? Our culinary team (after lots of testing) has created a version for you to make at home. It’s the perfect balance of ginger and miso, and will soon become your new go to. Get the full recipe below, along with a step by step video.

INGREDIENTS
1 shallot
3 ounces shredded carrots
1 tablespoon miso paste
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Trim and discard skin of ginger and mince. Peel shallot and mince 1⁄2; save remainder for another recipe as desired.

Kenwood’s), blend or pulse miso paste, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, grapeseed oil, ginger, shallot, carrots, and 2 tablespoons water until smooth. Season with 1⁄8 teaspoon kosher salt and pepper as desired. Alternatively, whisk together Japanese dressing ingredients in a large bowl until carrots are combined.
