6 Essential Dishes For Your Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July is right around the corner and in our book, it’s a day dedicated to firing up the grill, gathering around the table, and eating some of our favorite summer dishes. Whether you’re hosting a barbecue, heading to a friends house, or spending the day by the pool, we’ve got a dish for you to celebrate with.

The Perfect Burger

It’s not a summer celebration without a burger. No matter what you’re in the mood for, we’ve got you covered. Get fancy with Burgers au Poivre which give an American classic an elegant, French twist or ditch the meat for our Crispy Mushroom Burger. We rounded up our favorite burger recipes for inspiration.

Barbecue Chicken

You can’t brag about your grilling skills until you’ve perfected barbecue sauce. Well, we’ve done it for you. Here we slather the sticky, sweet, spicy sauce on chicken and round out this quintessentially summer dish with a corn, zucchini, and fresh basil sauté.

At our house, steak is always part of the grilling repertoire. There are so many ways to prepare and serve it, that it’s hard for us to choose just one. We love a classic grilled steak served with potatoes and a summery flare or a green goddess dressing and juicy tomato wedges. If you’re looking for a speedy dish, this Seared Steak with summer squash orzo does the trick.

Summery Pasta

Say goodbye to your traditional mayo-based pasta salad and up the ante with our Kale-Walnut Pesto Pasta. Cavatappi goes green with a vibrant kale, basil, walnut pesto plus summery mix-ins like squash, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes. And the best part? It’s ready in under 30 minutes.

Grilled Corn

As far as we’re concerned, it’s not a proper barbecue without corn. With as many ways to grill corn as there are to eat, it’s important to have the basics down pat. Opt for simple grilled corn, char marks and all, or get creative with a Charred Corn and Avocado Salad. Looking to grill up some more veggies? We’ve got a guide for that.

So many desserts, so little time! It’s impossible for us to choose just one, so we’re serving up a dessert buffet this year. Our famed No-Churn Ice Cream is a must—we wouldn’t say no to sandwiching it between chocolate chip cookies (homemade, of course!). And since it’s the Fourth of July, we’re getting creative with marshmallows. Go for Marshmallow Brownies or give these individual S’mores Pies a try.

You didn’t think we’d forget about the beverages, did you? No matter what your drink of choice is, we can offer some guidance. Stock your fridge with a rosé to pair with spicy flavors and charred meats, mix up our favorite margarita recipes or a batch of vodka-thyme lemonade, get to know your summer beers, or cool off with some boozy watermelon treats.
