Our favorite way to bring people together is around the table with our tastiest dishes, of course! We believe dinner shouldn’t be a hassle or an afterthought, but something that your family—whoever that is for you—can look forward to after a busy day. This year, we’re celebrating National Family Day with six dishes the entire crew will love. And the best part? They’re on the table in just 35 minutes.
Broccolini Grilled Cheese
We love experimenting with new versions of our most cherished comfort foods. In this cheffy grilled cheese, we pack in the veggies with sautéed broccolini plus a tangy kick from pepperoncini to counter the white Cheddar. Toast in a skillet just like Mom used to make and don’t forget to cut the crust off for those picky eaters!
Pumpkin, Beef, and Black Bean Chili
Chili is one of the easiest ways to feed a crowd, especially during the cooler months. This version touts Southwestern flavors and pumpkin purée for a touch of sweetness. Chef tip: serve this chili family-style and let each person customize their bowls with crispy tortilla strips, chopped scallions, or the topping of their choice.
Once you try our Fresh Spaghetti, you’ll never go back. This life-changing dish is such a smash hit with our customers that we have to bring it back again and again. We coat fresh spaghetti in a tomato and basil sauce laced with white wine and red pepper. A generous dollop of creamy burrata ties the dish together for a must.eat.right.now situation.
Parmesan-Herb Chicken Tenders
We firmly believe you’re never too old for chicken tenders so we added a few cheffy twists for a crowd-pleasing dinner. Sliced chicken breasts are crusted with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Italian dried herbs, and Parmesan and served alongside roasted haricot verts, grape tomatoes and a homemade honey-Dijon dipping sauce.
Blue Cheese Burgers
Burger night, anyone? We’re flipping your typical cheeseburger on its head by mixing ground beef with blue cheese crumble so you get big flavor in every bite. Don’t forget about our favorite burger topping: caramelized onions. Serve with roasted Brussels sprout salad for a seasonal twist.
Four Cheese Mac and Cheese
Is there a more ideal family dinner than mac and cheese? We think not. Here at Plated, we’re big fans of cheese, so this version boasts four different types—Parmesan, Fontina, Gruyère, and Cheddar. We use fusilli pasta for prime cheese coating and top with breadcrumbs for a crunchy crust.
And For Dessert: Fudgy Brownies
As the only major meal kit that offers dessert, we take sweets very seriously and think dessert is always a good idea. Give our Fudgy Brownies with White Chocolate Cheesecake Swirl a spin and you’ll ditch the boxed version for good. We can’t think of a better way to end the evening.
