One of our favorite sauces to add to steak or a favorite pasta dish is quite possibly also the easier to make—our Brown Butter Sauce with Sage.
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
4 fresh sage leaves, finely minced
Browned butter is easy to make, but does require paying attention so it doesn’t burn. If possible, use a light-colored pan so you can see the color change as it cooks. Swirl the pan around or stir often.
In small pan, melt butter over medium heat. When butter is foamy, add sage. Continue cooking, frequently stirring pan until light brown and fragrant, 3–4 minutes. Serve immediately over your favorite dish and enjoy!
