Impress Your Friends with This Delicious Homemade Almond Butter

Skip the store and impress your friends by making this delicious and versatile almond butter at home.

While the default tends to be picking up almond butter from the store, it’s actually super easy to make at home. And besides getting the satisfaction of saying you create your own, there’s also the benefit of having it be easily customizable. In the recipe below, we share how to make the perfect almond butter base, with suggestions on how to personalize it with Nutella, vanilla and cinnamon, and maple.

2 cups roasted unsalted almonds
.25 teaspoon cinnamon
.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Optional additions
Maple Syrup
Cocoa Powder
Food processor
Mason Jar

This recipe makes about 1.5 cups almond butter.

1. Base: Place almonds in a food processor (we used a Kenwood model) and blend until completely smooth and pourable, about 5–8 minutes.

2. Add ons: add in any mix-ins—about 1-2 tablespoons per ½ cup of almond butter.

3. Blend until everything is fully combined, about 1 more minute. Pour almond butter into a jar with a lid (like a mason jar), and seal tightly. Store at room temperature up to 3 weeks.
