Colman Andrews


Colman Andrews, editorial director of, is an internationally known food writer and editor and award-winning cookbook author. He was the co-founder of Saveur, hailed as "the ultimate food magazine", and its editor-in-chief from 2002 to 2006. He served as the restaurant columnist for Gourmet from 2006 through the magazine's demise. He is the co-author and co-editor of three Saveur cookbooks and the author of six books of his own, most recently “The Country Cooking of Ireland” (named Best International Cookbook and Cookbook of the Year by the James Beard Foundation in 2010), "Ferran: The Inside Story of El Bulli and the Man Who Reinvented Food", and "The Country Cooking of Italy”. Andrews was one of the first 50 food and wine figures to be named to "Who's Who of Cooking in America" and is the winner of eight James Beard Foundation awards, including the M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing award.
